The Official Biography

The New Baroque Orchestra

Founded by the musicians of the European Union Baroque Orchestra of 2013, 2014, and January 2015, The New Baroque Orchestra is an ensemble which dedicates itself to historically-informed performance. A dynamic group of young artists, the ensemble has received praise across the continent.

Known for their energy and communication on stage, the musicians of NewBO find their strength in their dedication to each other. Coming from over 10 different countries, each member brings their unique story to colour the musical experience.

Together the ensemble has performed at Europe’s most prestigious early music festivals including the MA Festival (Brugge), Oude Muziek Festival Utrecht, Bach Days in Istanbul, and the Poznań Baroque Festival. Today, NewBO finds its mark as an orchestra of equals, where ensemble integrity is held as paramount.
